Splash Crown (tutorial)

(better on Flickr)

It’s not that difficult to do an image like this, just follow the description:
I placed a transparent tank with a blue paper under it. I got my camera with the flash (Canon Speedlite 550EX). I grabbed a pipette and did the drops falling… just slowly, one drop – because in that case there are no waves! So yeah, the color is natural….. no Photoshop!! =D

Another splash with this technique

Portrait of my brother with ringlight (tutorial)

So here’s my first ringlight shot…. I did it myself, i mean the ringlight!

Here’s some pictures how to do a ringlight at home! (this is not mine)

Just few tips, how can you make this ringlight better (not on the image):
– try to create it that you don’t have to use manual mode on the flash and don’t have to use some wireless connection between the camera and the flash. you can see a picture of what i’m talking about…
– take a white paper on the front of the ringflash, because the light is very strong and your model will be blind… :D

So give it a try my friend! It’s free! :)
Good luck!

Double Splash (strobist macro)

This was taken today. Placed in a transparent tank and there was a red paper under it. I got my camera with the flash (Canon Speedlite 550EX) on it. I grabbed a pipette and did the drops falling… And God knows how can it be, but I got two splashes at the same time!! So yeah, the color is natural….. no Photoshop!!

Clone Yourself! – Multiplicity image (tutorial) – UPDATED

How to do an image like this??
It’s very simple my friend! :)
First you have to use a tripod, without this you can’t do it… Then you do as much poses as you want, but you have to do an image of the place where you will act. After you got the right poses put them into Photoshop. I suggest you to cut the character that is most in the background with Pen or Magnetic Lasso tool. Then cut it and paste it into the original image (there is nobody on it). Then do this with the others also. At the end you can use Blur tool to blur the edges a little bit. And BUMM it’s finished!!

OR

You could use the “Clone Stamp” tool and carefully copy the characters from the different pics to the “original” image! Then you won’t get sharp edges! See this below!
